Altafossa Valley
(easy hike; from 1,600 m to 1,850 m)
Drive to Maranza and then on to the Altafossa Valley car park (1,600 m, parking fee). This is where the leisurely, family-friendly hike to the Großberg Chalet begins (approx. 40 minutes). If you want to go further, Trail 16 leads into the valley to the Prantner Stadel and Wieser chalets. The trail is also suitable for pushchairs.

At the head of the Altafossa Valley there is the opportunity for practised hikers to climb higher to the Campolago Lakes (2,271 m) and to Cima di Campolago (2,715 m).
