Mountain-farm village Malga Fane
The mountain-farm village Malga Fane at an altitude of 1740 metres is truly charming. The 35 alpine huts and hay barns date back to the Middle Ages when they were constructed as a field hospital for people suffering from the plague and cholera. Nowadays, this is the most beautiful mountain-farm village in South Tyrol. The area is closed off to traffic and is protected. A show dairy, playing areas and public huts await you at Malga Fane, and of course you can continue your hike to other alpine huts and cabins.
Once a week we accompany you on a hike to our own alpine hut at Malga Fane where you will be spoiled with a South Tyrolean afternoon snack and some schnapps! Our hut is a little different to the other huts at Malga Fane: it is one of a few huts that were built with brick stones.
